Visionary Planning by
Board Enables New Growth After 51 Years of Continued Service
For over 51 years, our non-profit organization has been a cornerstone of the community, providing essential services and opportunities for individuals with disabilities. As we prepare to open a brand new clearance store in Kalispell, some community members have asked how we can afford this expansion and where the land is coming from. The answer lies in decades of careful planning and wise decision-making by our board of directors.
Since 1983, our board has methodically acquired properties and land, guided by a vision of long-term sustainability. Each purchase has been a strategic investment in our future, ensuring that our non-profit would not only survive but thrive. From our first property acquisition in 1983 to more recent purchases in 2017 and 2019, these investments have built a robust portfolio that supports our mission and enables us to continue expanding our services.
This new clearance store, located at 91 5th Ave WN in Kalispell, is the latest in a series of projects made possible by the foresight of our leadership. The board’s strategic decisions over the past four decades have laid the groundwork for this expansion, allowing us to grow without compromising our financial stability. The land for the store, like many others before it, was purchased with an eye toward the future—a future that we are now realizing.
As we celebrate our 51st year, we recognize that our ability to serve the community today is built on the foundation of those who came before us. The careful, deliberate investments made by our board have ensured that we can continue to offer vital services and create new opportunities for those we serve. This new store is not just a building; it is a testament to the enduring legacy of our board’s commitment to the community.
We invite everyone to join us on December 13th for the ribbon-cutting ceremony of our new clearance store, where we will celebrate not just the opening of a new location, but the culmination of over 40 years of planning and dedication. Together, we will continue to build a brighter future for our community.
