Stronger Together: A Natural Next Step for Three Organizations with One Shared Purpose
For decades, Flathead Industries, Ravalli Services Corporation, and Little Bitterroot Services have each been committed to the same purpose: providing services to people with disabilities to live, work, learn, and thrive in their communities.
While each organization has served its own region, many people may not realize just how closely we’ve worked together behind the scenes.
Over the years, our organizations have built a strong partnership by sharing ideas, supporting one another, and collaborating on everything from a shared CEO and utilizing the Flathead Industries’ operations, technology, finance, human resources, and marketing teams. As we’ve grown, that collaboration has become an increasingly important part of how we serve our communities.
Because of that, we’re excited to share that we’re taking the next natural step in our journey together.
Over the coming months, Flathead Industries, Ravalli Services Corporation, and Little Bitterroot Services will begin transitioning into a shared organizational structure under the Flathead Industries Organization. We wanted to begin sharing the vision behind this transition; to ensure that everyone understands that this does not change our services, our core values, our fundraising objectives. All services, thrift store sales, and fundraising revenue will be reinvested in the community where they are generated.
What does this mean?
For most people, very little will feel different and that’s by design.
Flathead Industries, Ravalli Services Corporation, and Little Bitterroot Services will each continue serving the communities that know and trust them. The local names, relationships, programs, and commitment to each community will remain an important part of who we are.
The biggest changes will happen behind the scenes.
By bringing our corporate support services together under one organization, we will be able to streamline operations, reduce duplication, enhance sustainability, share expertise more effectively, and strengthen the support systems that allow our local organizations to focus on what matters most: serving people.
Rather than three organizations independently solving many of the same challenges, we will be able to work as one collaborative team while preserving the local identity and community relationships that have been built over decades.
Why now?
The truth is, this transition has been years in the making.
Many of our teams already work across organizational lines every day. Our leaders regularly collaborate, our support departments share knowledge and resources, and we have long recognized that our organizations are stronger when we work together.
This new structure simply reflects the reality of how we have already been operating.
It’s an opportunity to create greater efficiency, strengthen long-term sustainability, and position our organizations for continued growth all while remaining focused on the people and communities we exist to serve.
What isn’t changing?
While our organizational structure is evolving, our mission remains the same.
Our commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities, empowering independence, creating employment opportunities, and building inclusive communities is unchanged.
The local relationships we’ve built with families, employees, donors, businesses, volunteers, and community partners will continue to be at the heart of everything we do.
Those relationships are not changing they are becoming even stronger.
Looking Forward
As plans continue to develop, we will be sharing more information about what this transition means, and how it will help us better serve our communities for years to come.
For now, we simply wanted to let you know that something exciting is on the horizon.
This isn’t about changing who we are.
It is about building upon decades of collaboration to create an even stronger future.
Together, Flathead Industries, Ravalli Services Corporation, and Little Bitterroot Services are taking the next step — not because our missions are changing, but because they’re so closely aligned.
We’re excited to continue that journey together, and we’re grateful to have our communities with us every step of the way.
